What is this project for?

The purpose is to redefine generosity, to create the space to experience that everybody can be generous and through that to strengthen integrity. Everything that’s needed is to care enough, to take the time to connect, to understand and to appreciate. And with that, to receive the gift of trust and influence.

The misunderstood concept of Generosity

Most people understand generosity as an act of giving without expecting something in return.
Generosity is not something you do.
It’s a state of being.
The only requirement to be generous is to declare ourselves to be a contribution. This has tremendous powers and transforms conflicts into rewarding experiences by revealing our blind spots and helping us experience who we really are.

Generosity leads to Self-Discovery

The Greek word for generosity is γενναιοδωρία [gennaiodo̱ría].
It’s formed by the combination of two terms: γενναιος [gennaios] + δώρο [do̱rο], which means brave gift.

Being generous requires courage because we often become vulnerable, we trust others, we believe in something greater than us, something intangible and irrational. This process helps us reveal our blind spots, to see who we really are and to lead a life of integrity.
Integrity, which also requires courage, is not just acting based on who we really are as undivided, completed individuals, but also understanding that we are all one.

Two sides are needed for generosity to happen. If we don’t trust the giver, it will be hard to receive any act as a gift. We all have trust issues, caused by previous experiences and collective limiting beliefs. Another goal of this project is to overcome those trust issues by acting as if we are one and as if there are enough ideas to share, enough money, enough time, enough resources for all of us… as if we are enough to create whatever we dream of.

What’s in for you?

The benefit of acting with this mindset is that it will bring us closer together.
In previous sessions of the Generosity Project, we experienced precisely this connection.
New ideas and new projects were born,
new business-partnerships formed,
people were inspired to start creating their own path.

The Process

Ι will organize Facebook Splitscreen Live Talks with a guest.
You are invited to contribute with your comments and questions, before, during and after the Facebook Live.
It might look like any other online interview. The difference in this project is the attitude we have when we enter this conversation.

It will be an open conversation, without a pre-approved script, just like life happens.
The purpose is to dive deeper into the meaning and to understand how certain goals were achieved, what the guest sees what we can’t see.
We might disagree on certain topics, we might reach a point where we don’t know the answer or even awaken new possibilities with new insights.

Who are my guests?

I invite people who inspire me and challenge me to see things from a different perspective, people who help others shine through their generous contribution. It’s not based on the number of followers they have on Instagram, nor how popular their work or brand is.

Is it for you? And how can you participate?

Ιt’s for people like us, people who clearly see the benefit in listening to stories told by strangers. The challenge of this project is to declare ourselves to be a contribution to this story. You’re not invited to watch us do the talking…
– but to dive into it as someone who is able to make a difference just by leaving generous comments,
– by trying to connect the dots with us,
– by communicating why she or he disagrees with us.
